In 1954, Kazuyoshi Nishimura, the icon of Japanese skiing, together with Takeo Ishimoto, the producer of sports clothing from Osaka decided to create a line of sportswear for professional skiers. In just a couple of years, the brand, thanks to the advancement of its products, quickly became one of the main producers of clothes for professional athletes. Delving into the brand’s history, it’s easy to see the innovation of its products. The first RWSB compact jacket, first ski suits tested in a aerodynamic tunnel or a ‘’Magic Suit’’ that protects against wind designed on the basis of 3D prototype with adjustable fastening. The producers equipped members of the Mt. Everest expedition, skating teams including the record holder Eric Heiden or cycling teams. Descente brand logo was worn by almost all athletes who wanted to achieve maximum performance. After polishing their products in terms of engineering, the producers invited world famous fashion designers to cooperate.
